German Open Dance Festival 2017

Some of the best couples in the world start out in Mannheim

 The German Open Dance Festival Mannheim is no ordinary dance festival. Spanning two days, over 100 tournaments await you from a variety of disciplines: the WDC German Open Dance Festival for Professionals and Amateurs – Open to the World – the DAT German Dance School Championships Hobby League and Supa League, plus young, dynamic disciplines such as discofox, videoclip and hip-hop. Some of the best couples in the world, amongst them world and European champions, come to the Rosengarten in Mannheim to demonstrate their skills.

The focus of the event in 2017 will again be the Rosengarten Gala Ball on the Saturday evening. This is when the Mozart Hall will be transformed into a ballroom for this top-class professional tournament. During the evening, together with the participants of the German Open, guests can also enjoy the special atmosphere, be in the spotlight and take to the dance floor. You have the opportunity to enjoy and dance to the live music of the 19-piece Jack Million Band (evening dress required).

The m:con team is delighted that, after the successful start last year, the partnership with the Anpfiff ins Leben (“Kick-off in Life”) association can be continued and that the dancers from Bewegungsförderung für Amputierte (the organisation promoting sports for amputees) will be part of the Rosengarten Gala Ball.
